Former world champion Parker returned an adverse finding during a drugs test carried out on the day of his 11th-round defeat against UK boxer Fabio Wardley.

An ordinary examination administered to the boxer by the anti-doping organization on the day of the bout came back positive and now leaves Parker facing a challenge to clear his name.
The boxer's representatives released a statement stating: "The anti-doping body notified everyone involved that Joseph Parker had a positive result after a doping test administered on the 25th October. As the investigation continues, no more comments are forthcoming at this time."
